The Omega Times respects each individual’s right to personal privacy. We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement. This statement applies solely to information collected at The Omega Times' Web site.

The Omega Times collects information through our Web site at several points.

This information is not personally identifiable and is used to get an idea of what countries people are visiting our site from and how people came to find our site.

If you subscribe/register to The Omega Times, we collect the necessary information to supply you with our service. Information collected includes all or some of (Name, Address, City, Postcode, Country, Email Address, IP address, Credit Card, and any other relevant information we need to manage your account). We also ask you at the time of subscription/registration if you want to be contacted by us each time a new paper is put on-line.

The Omega Times does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We do employ temporary cookies at our site to enable you to login and access our magazine, forum or online shopping. Once you have subscribed to The Omega Times, you also have the option of saving a permanent cookie on your computer that lets you automatically log in to our site, saving you the task of typing in your username and password - this can be activated or deactivated from the "My Account" section of the site.

Part II. Information Usage.

The information collected by The Omega Times is first and foremost used to supply you with our online newspaper. The information collected upon entering our site will be used as described in the second paragraph of Part I of this document

If you have asked to be notified each month when the current paper is put online we will send you an email to let you know that the paper is ready for you to read. We may also include advertising in the same email. When your subscription has expired, we will also contact you giving you the option to resubscribe.

We offer links to other Web sites. Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

Part III. Access to Information

Users may contact us to access their own personal information and inform us about any inaccuracies they may find. Users may choose to remove themselves from our "future contacts" database by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any emails that we send to them, filling in their email address, and clicking on 'Remove Me'.

This will stop the monthly notification of the paper going online from being sent to you.

If any problems arise with our service, users may contact The Omega Times by Phone, Fax, Email or Regular Mail.

We are able to process your credit card to minimise the delay in supplying our service. We obtain credit card authorisation from the card-issuing bank and employ other verification techniques before completing any transaction.
