Dear Readers

It's the month of May 2002, all sorts of things are taking
place world wide, it's daunting at times and we don't have all of the
answers -– but we know the Alpha and the Omega! If you are prone to being
anxious or angry (often a direct result of insecurity) let me encourage you to
'take His yoke upon yourself, learn of Jesus -– His yoke is easy and His
burden is light'. Jesus was tempted in all points like we are, yet without
sin. How special to know that the author of our faith knows very well the issues
of life, and offers us His strength.

"Anyone can become angry -– that is easy. But to be angry
with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right
purpose, and in the right way -– this is not easy"
Aristotle. I suggest
that Aristotle was on the right track when he made this statement -– but
believe it is nearly impossible as a human being to achieve such temperance
without the Spirit of God first transforming our hearts.

I trust the writings contained in this edition of Omega Times
will encourage you to keep looking 'up' (not inward).
