Schroder calls for European Government
In the early 1970's I was teaching at a school in Auckland
called Seddon High School, along with a friend of mine, Derek Jones Sr.
One day travelling home to Henderson in our motorcar, Derek
asked me whether the European community was mentioned in the Word of God.
Strangely enough it was this simple question that set me on the task that God
has called me to today.
The answer of course is that in the Word of God there are
four lots of 10 mentioned and each of them refer to 10 nations in Europe which
will compromise the final world government system that will control the trade of
the whole planet.
These four 10s are, 10 horns, 10 crowns, 10 kings and 10
toes.
We have watched with interest the rise of the European Union
and the many countries that have joined, taking the total, at this time of
writing, to 15.
In the book of Daniel chapter 2, we read of a great image
which was seen by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in about the year 586 BC. This
image had a head of gold, representing Babylon, chest and arms of silver
representing Medo Persia, loins of brass representing Greece, two legs of iron
representing the two empires of Rome and then at the bottom, feet and toes of
iron and clay, representing of course the European Community, the final Gentile
world empire.
In the book of Daniel 2:44-45, we read: "And in the days of
these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be
destroyed...". Then in verse 45:
"Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the
mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the
clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what
shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the
interpretation thereof sure." (emphases added).
The great stone cut out of the mountain without hands, refers
to our Lord Jesus Christ who will come when the common market is at the ultimate
of their power, with one man controlling it, and this man's title is
Antichrist.
Imagine then my excitement when, during a recent trip to
Britain, I picked up the Daily Telegraph on 30 April 2001 and read the
headline "Schroder plan calls for European government -– GERHARD Schroder,
the German chancellor, has reignited the debate over the future of the European
Union by calling for the creation of a European government and a reformed and
more powerful two-tier European Parliament...
If implemented, that would mean that the Germany's federal
system of government would, in many respects, be replicated at European level...
Under the Schroder blueprint, the unelected European
Commission in Brussels would become a beefed-up executive -– or European
government. Its head, or president, would be elected, probably by a reformed
European Parliament.
The existing EU Council of Ministers, in which ministers of
member states currently vote on legislation, would be abolished and turned into
a second 'state chamber' of the Parliament.
Each member state would send a specified number of
representatives to the chamber to vote on European issues..." (emphases
added).
And then again in the same newspaper on 1 May 2001, we read
the headline "Socialists support Schroder's plan for united Europe -–
GERHARD Schroder's Social Democratic Party (SPD) called yesterday for its
plans for a European government to be placed at the top of the EU's political
agenda...
...the proposals to unite Europe within 10 years had been
drawn up by a group headed by the Chancellor.
In a reference to Britain and other states reluctant to hand
over sovereignty, Mr Munterfering said all EU leaders had a duty to address
crucial issues about the next steps forward.
As well as backing plans to turn the European Commission into
a government for Europe with an elected president -– and creating a more
powerful, two-tier European Parliament -– the SPD demands far greater
co-operation over tax.
Its blueprint for Europe's future, entitled Responsibility
for Europe, said the single currency created new demands for harmonisation
of economic policies.
'An internal market and a common currency also demand a
stronger harmonisation in tax policy, in particular in relation to business
taxes, taxing capital gains, taxing the use of energy and the arrangements for
VAT and sales tax, as well as a common capital market.'...
The SPD ideas include turning the EU Council of Ministers,
comprising minister of the 15 member states, into a parliamentary chamber
similar to the Bundesrat upper house representing Germany's federal states...
While the ideas were well received by the main German
political parties, they earned a cool response from France...
...Paris is keen to protect its national interests and
sovereignty, while Berlin wants to push a federal vision..." (emphases
added).
In an old cutting taken from a newspaper some years ago, I
will remember the quote "If the Common Market is ever to become anything more
than a Supermarket, it will be the result of German leadership". This infers,
of course, that Germany will play a major role in the setting up of this final
Gentile world empire, which will control the politics and the trade of the whole
world system just prior to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have noted elsewhere that the Word of God predicts that
the world leader, who will be appointed, will of necessity be a non-religious
Jew. This may be found by reading in the book of John 5:43, where we read the
Word of Jesus who said, "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me
not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive".
At this time of writing, the nation of Israel, with all its
inhabitants both Jewish and Arab are looking for peace, and as this writer has
just been to that area, I emphasise that this is not a vain hope but a
prophesied event which will take place very shortly under the leadership of this
man, Antichrist, who will confirm the Treaty himself between Jew and Arab.
Your verse for this of course, is Daniel 9:27: "And he
shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week
he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease..."
The "week" refers to a seven year treaty, the "many"
refers to Jews and the many Arabs in the Arab states and the "covenant" must
be a peace treaty, where these people feel they can live at peace after many
years of war and destruction.
This author is very, very excited with all this information
arising at the same time in history and therefore, the Words of Jesus come to
mind from Luke 21:28. "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look
up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh".
