The Jews must return
In an article taken from a publication entitled The
Israeline on 9 June 2001, we read: "SHARON TO JEWISH COMMUNITY OF MOSCOW:
A MILLION MUST COME -– Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has called upon Russian
Jewry to immigrate en-masse to Israel, HA'ARETZ reported. Appearing before
representatives of the Jewish community in Moscow on Wednesday night, Sharon
said that Israel needs another million Jews in the coming years in order to
guarantee its Jewish majority. Sharon also discussed the success Israel has
had over the past decade in absorbing the previous wave of one million Russian
Jews, and expressed his confidence that it can be done again..." (emphasis
added).
An ancient prophecy taken from Isaiah 43:5-6, reads thus:
"Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed
from the east, and gather thee from the west;
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not
back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;".
It is clear that the Ethiopian Jews will come from the south
and the Russian Jews from the north, in particular, Russia and other European
countries. If, however, these people refuse to go back to the land, God has ways
of helping them to become interested in the concept.
We turn to Jeremiah 16:14-16: "Therefore, behold, the days
come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that
brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; But, The LORD
liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and
from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into
their land that I gave unto their fathers. Behold, I will send for many fishers,
saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many
hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and
out of the holes of the rocks."
Please note also, that there are at present in this month of
September in the year 2001, 90,000 Jews living in Germany. The growth is due to
the large number of immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Germany, which has
granted special immigrant rights to Jews from the CIS, assumes that the high
rate will continue in the coming years, because of both the difficulties in
attaining permits to immigrate to the US and the security situation in Israel.
The hunters and fishers are moving out, and therefore, do not
be surprised to see Jews flooding back into the land again, in preparation for
the return of their Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ.
