Are Israelis Israelites?
At the beginning of the year 2002, there is a great deal of
discussion, as to what will take place in the Middle East and who owns the city
of Jerusalem, etc, etc. For the answers to these questions, we need to go back
to the book of Leviticus 25:1-2:
"And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land
which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD."
Leviticus 25:23: "The land shall not be sold for ever: for the
land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me."
Then again in Joel 3:1-2, we read: "For, Behold, in
those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah
and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations and bring them down into the
valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for
my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and
parted my land." (emphases added).
At this time, we wish to thank Dr Michael A.C. Story DD, for
his interesting articles taken from the Internet and acknowledge that much of
this information on this particular subject is taken from those articles.
November 15,2001: "For the first time since modern Israel
became a nation, a United States President has openly referred to a state of
Palestine, presumably on the land the Bible calls 'the mountains of Israel.'
US officials and world leaders are praising this decision as
a step for peace. But many Bible-believing Jews and Christians say it could put
the United States squarely in conflict with God's Word....
But the land of Israel, as outlined in the Bible, has some
very different borders than the ones being discussed at the United Nations. And
along with the definition of the territory, the Bible also warns the other
nations of the world not to divide the land.
According to Scripture, all of the West Bank, including
Palestinian-controlled cities such as Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and even Gaza,
are part of the Biblical land of Israel.... the US and other world powers are
setting a dangerous agenda in the Middle East....
President Bush seems to be ready to divide the land, calling
for a Palestinian state on territory that God says belongs to Him. 'And that
is diametrically opposed to God's Word. And it is going to bring, if it hasn't
already brought the US into conflict with the God of Israel.'....
Today, Israelis themselves are divided over whether to
concede any more territory to Yasser Arafat, and how much to rely on the
promises of the Bible. This is especially true in Tel Aviv, Israel's secular
stronghold. Israeli citizen Avi Omry said, 'I do believe, yes, God promised
the land. But they (Palestinians) believe the same way, too. So I think we
should find a way that will somehow satisfy both.'....
'This is not Israel's land. This is not Jewish people's
land. This is God's land that He has given to the people He has chosen,'
Cohen said. 'Leviticus 25:23 says, "This land is mine. It shall not be sold
forever. You are strangers and sojourners with me." And therefore, Israel, the
Jewish people, do not have a right to give away this land, even if there were
true peace being offered to us.'....
Sondra Baras, an Orthodox Jew who lives in Samaria, says that
before President Bush declares a state of Palestine, he should take another hard
look at what the Scriptures say about the land.
She would tell Bush, 'As a Bible-believing Christian, you
have a duty and an obligation to ensure that the children of Israel, the modern
day Jewish people, have a right to live all over the land of Israel in peace and
security.'..." (emphasis added).
It is interesting to note from Dr Michael A.C. Story's
Internet information dated 22 December 2001: "The EU is funding Arafat's war
-– Israel is charging that European Union funds are being used to finance
Palestinian insurgency attacks against the Jewish state. They say that tens of
millions of dollars are being sent by the EU directly to PHM and Yasser Arafat.
Arafat uses the money to pay his security forces to launch or aid in attacks
against Israel....
In a speech to his supporters on December 19, 2001, Arafat
vowed, 'I am willing to sacrifice 70 to die, to kill one Israeli'..."
(emphasis added).
In light of the fact that the American economy is about ready
to collapse and will no longer be able to support Israel, Biblical prophecy is
literally being fulfilled before our eyes as the EU is also going to turn
against Israel, leaving them purely in the hands of Almighty God, who will
protect them during this time of a great invasion, which will very shortly take
place.
Thus, God's name will be glorified in our day.
