Aussie target revealed

At this time of writing, it is interesting to look around the
world and see the problems that are besetting each country.

For example: 1) New York and Washington are recovering from
the attacks; 2) Fires are burning out of control in Australia: 3) Fighting is
erupting between India and Pakistan. 4) Floods, tidal waves and drought are
affecting certain parts of the world. Next, Afghanistan is an absolute mess,
with people dying not only through bombing but through bad distribution of food
supplies, and countries like Korea have been viciously torn apart by politicians
who haven't got a clue what they're doing.

Prophetically speaking, the Words of Jesus now make sense
when we read in Luke 21:25 onwards:

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and
in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;
the sea and the waves roaring;

26. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking
after those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall
be shaken.

27. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud
with power and great glory.

28. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look
up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (emphasis
added).

Of course there are still people living in both Australia and
New Zealand, who are at this time, just completing their Christmas holidays at
the beach and have little idea about what is in store for them in the year 2002.
A prophecy from the prophet Haggai in Chapter 2, verses 6&7, reads thus:

"For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a
little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the
dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all
nations shall come (Jesus): and I will fill this house with glory, saith the
LORD of hosts." (emphasis added).

One of the greatest weapons that the Lord has given to us to
make people do what they are told, is the weapon of fear, which is second only
to love. For instance, when I was a schoolteacher, the fear of getting the cane
made the children sit in straight rows and do what they were told. Unfortunately
those days are now finished and children do not do what they are told, and are
burning down schools by way of protest against the state discipline. Criminals
respected the judges in the old days but now they shout and swear at the judge,
as they have never been taught the art of self-control.

On September 11 when the Twin Towers were hit along with the
Pentagon, the media made it very clear that the churches were full for some
weeks following these disasters, as fear of those things drove people to think
of the spiritual aspect of life.

This writer is domiciled in New Zealand and recently picked
up an article in Malaysia from the New Straits Times, 8 December 2001:
"Aussie target revealed -– Australia's tallest building was the preferred
target of a man arrested in India for allegedly planning Sept 11-style terrorist
attacks here, Prime Minister John Howard said yesterday. The man at the centre
of the allegations, Mohammad Afroz Abdul Razzak, was arrested in Bombay on Oct 2
and remains in custody. An Indian Muslim, Afroz allegedly confessed to planning
airborne terrorist strikes in Australia, Britain and India. Australian
authorities confirmed on Thursday that Afroz had undertaken flight training in
Sydney between 1997 and 1998.

What is going to happen in New Zealand by way of a shake up?
As we well know, we are living on a faultline, which passes right through our
country, and therefore, there is nothing like a jolly good earthquake to shake
people up.

Whatever God has in mind, may it happen soon, as our people
desperately need the Lord and if we have to be shaken, then let it be.

Some may object to this statement, but as one who has
traveled the world, seeking for men and women who have a heart after God, my try
is not one of anger but of desperation, as men deliberately tread their way to
hell without understanding that God has provided the way to Heaven.

We thank God that Jesus is that way, and He himself has said,
"I am the way the truth and life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me."

We thank God, He has also promised and antidote to the
problems of the world today, in the form of a spiritual revival.

In the book of Isaiah 59:19b, we read: "When the enemy
shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard
against him."

Lord, send us a spiritual revival, that millions may be
born-again before Jesus comes back.
