Quotas can go overseas
Over the years it has been of great interest to this writer,
to read what people are saying and then watch a fulfillment of what the Bible
says is really going to happen. About five years ago I had a cutting in front of
me which said that the idea of changing the fishing systems around New Zealand
to ITQs or Individual Transferable Quotas was bizarre. They said that this
system of dividing up the fisheries could lead to an ultimate foreign ownership
of our fisheries, to which the government replied, "Nonsense, this will never
happen." However, many years later...
We pick up the newspaper called The Dominion, February
8, 2002, and read: "Foreign ownership of quotas possible."
"A high court judge has ruled it is technically legal
for all New Zealand fishing quotas to be owned by foreign companies.
In a High Court judgement, Justice Ronald Young found that
the Government's stated policy of 'New Zealandising' the industry was not
enshrined in law.
In 1999, changes were made to the law with the intent of
tightening sales to foreigners. This meant a national interest test had to
be applied by the Overseas Investment Commission and ministers when approving
quote sales to foreigners.
Justice Young said it was still possible for foreign
companies to buy quotas. It was an error to assume 'New Zealandisation equates
with the natural interest', and wrong to argue that 'New Zealand ownership
of all quote, nor matter what the circumstances, will automatically be in the
national interest...
'Parliament could have prohibited overseas ownership
absolutely. It did not do so. While I imagine no government would allow it to
happen, all quota could be controlled by overseas companies'.
To fulfil Justice Young's hypothetical scenario of 100 per
cent overseas ownership, all New Zealand owners of quotas would have to want to
sell, and the commission and the Government would have to approve those sales.
Justice Young had been asked to rule on a dispute between
Talleys Fisheries and its Japanese partner Mahura...
Talleys argues that the quota decision was contrary to the
law and the Government's 'New-Zealandisation' policy. It also contended
that there had been a lack of consultation..." (emphases added).
Anybody who understands the world government plan knows that
Henry Kissinger's statement comes back to us again and again, to haunt us: "By
controlling energy, we can control nations and by controlling food, we can
control individuals."
There is therefore no doubt, that the day is coming shortly,
where all our food supplies will be controlled for us by overseas people
connected to the New World Order or world government group, and if we do not go
along with what they say, we will certainly not be eating their food.
However, to those of us who are born-again Christians, we are
not really concerned about this food, for we belong to a supernatural family
with a supernatural father, who has promised in Philippians 4:19: "But my God
shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Again in Matthew 6:31-33, we read: "Therefore take no
thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal
shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek)...But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you."
There is little doubt that we are a thorn in the flesh of the
world government advocates, for these natural men cannot control spiritual men.
